The festival des 7 collines is a multidisciplinary event involved in unique and contemporary creations coming from all over Europe and abroad. We've recently been very pleased to get an extremely positive response from the public, artists, the press and professionals alike. Their stimulating passion has confirmed our commitment to offer a broader scope to the festival with a focus on creativity.

Again, this year we've been astonished and seduced by artists who, far from standardization, reinvent codes, confront points of view while delivering relevant and daring works of art. The unique and the daring are the two key words for this 2009 edition.

The Canadians Louise Lecavalier and Benoît Lachambre are breaking down the barriers in their unique duet. The Danish Mette Ingvarsten and Dutchman Jefta Van Dinther are leaving the ground to dance in the air. While the Austrian Willy Dorner is sculpting his bodies in an urban space, the American Danial Linehan is dancing in circles spreading his dizziness.

The Forman brothers from the Czech Republic are delightfully waking up their monsters. In an attempt to confront their dances, Berlin and Saint-Etienne dancers are working together. Once again, the music programme is hosting the unique: Rokia Traoré will open the festival and the New-York band Dean and Britta will perform its songs to exclusive Andy Warhol films.

From July 1st, the Festival des 7 collines will settle in different places in town and nearby and this spreading out is made possible thanks to the kindness and involvement of our partners. We deeply thank them. Here comes the 15th edition, both cheerful and popular. We hope you will find it inspirational and full of excitement.
